Assignment no. 5

The meaning of HRM:
"Human resource management (HRM) is the strategic and coherent approach to the management of an organization's most valued assets - the people working there who individually and collectively contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the business." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_resource_management

For me, HRM is included in the BSIT/BSCS curriculum because it is kind of "the core" in a company. If there is no HRM, then will be chaos in a company. There will be no organization in the company employees, no organization in their salaries, benefits, insurances and other matters that the HRM is responsible of. As said in the definition above, it focuses on the people, who are the key to the achievement of the objectives of the business. And because after we graduate, we will part of those "people", it is our basic right to know what is in store for us in a company if we work there.

Hi 'yah Royee!!

Well, I agree with your point. Peopleware is a very essential part of a company. Thus, the management should find better ways to 'manage' their important resource.

(^_^) I'd appreciate your comment too.
